Paper Stories, Layered Dreams: The Art of Ekua Holmes, on view 07.17.21–01.24.22, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

Design and management of large-scale images, vinyl wall texts, wall and platform labels and intro walls for an exhibition by artist and activist Ekua Holmes. The exhibition focused on her award-winning children’s book illustrations, including collages revealing stories of self-determination, love, and community. The show emphasized Holmes’ focus on representation and her commitment to Black imagery, as well as the important impact she’s had on representing more people of color in children’s books. Title design by MFA Boston colleague Joanna Mahoney.

Exhibition featured in The Boston Globe, GBH's Open Studio with Jared Bowen, The Bay State Banner, and Apollo Magazine
